The next tip is to try to clean your ceiling fans twice a year. When you clean the fans semi-annually, it will help to reduce the amount of dust buildup, which will make cleaning them less messy.
The last tip is to spray inside an old pillowcase with either a solution of vinegar and water or with an all-purpose cleaner. Then place the pillowcase over a ceiling fan blade. Next, as you pull the pillowcase toward you, wipe the blade. The pillowcase will trap all that dust and debris. This will also help you to keep the mess down. Then if there is any dust buildup left, wipe the blade with a microfiber cloth.
