Sometimes when we are trying to organize our home and trying to get rid of the extra clutter, we can end up with more clutter than when we started. Here are a few tips to help you to get rid of that clutter.

The first tip is to start with organizing your loose papers. Have one area where you sort and store all your mail. You may also want to digitize any receipts or documents when you don’t need the physical copy. Just remember to shred any documents that contain your personal information.

The second tip is to ask yourself if you really need or use an item. For example, if you haven’t worn a clothing item in a year, get rid of it or donate it. The same applies with small appliances that you have accumulated. Only keep the ones that you use multiple times in a year.

The third tip is to keep that donation container in plain view and once it’s full, make the trip to donate the items. Don’t tuck away these bins in closets, where you tend to forget about them and they accumulate.
