It doesn’t matter how clean your home is, every now and then you may notice those pesky little ants crawling around your home. Here are a few suggestions to help you get rid of those indoor ants.

The first thing you will want to do is to figure out what is attracting these ants into your home. It may be a dirty dish in the sink, your cat or dog dish, or even a drip on a jar that could be attracting these ants. So first try to clean up this area to see if the ants just move out on their own.

You may also want to spray the scout ant trails, which are pheromone trails that scout ants leave behind so that the other ants can find the trails, with a mixture of one part vinegar to three parts water. This mixture will eliminate these trails.

The last suggestion is to repel the ants from returning to your home. You can use a natural solution that consists of lavender or peppermint oil and water, or you can use a product with boric acid around the entry point for the ants. Just make sure you read the instructions with products that contain boric acid because they may be harmful to children or pets.

Hopefully, these few suggestions will help you get rid of those pesky indoor ants.
