Mosquitoes can be super annoying when you and your family try to enjoy your yard. Here are a few ways to help you to reduce the mosquitoes in your yard.
The first way to reduce mosquitoes is to look for standing water in your yard, even the tiniest amount. Breeding grounds for mosquitoes can be found in discarded containers or cans, outdoor flower pot saucers, clogged rain gutters, tree holes, and even in your bird bath. Try to change the water in your birdbath weekly. Also, there are products available that will treat your ponds or water gardens for mosquitoes.
Another way to reduce mosquitoes is to invite more mosquito predators into your yard. You can simply install a bat house or a bird house in your yard. Bats and even some birds love to eat mosquitoes.
The last way to help you to reduce the mosquitoes is to plant mosquito repellent plants in your yard. Some mosquito repellent plants are bee balm, rosemary, marigolds, lavender, and citronella. Mosquitoes do not like any of these plants.
These are just a few ways to help you to reduce the mosquito population in your yard so that you will be better able to enjoy your yard.
